Completing my studies, when I stepped into our 65-year-old handmade carpet company, I quickly realized a hard truth: the very weavers who form the heart of this trade were working without the dignity, recognition, or conditions they deserved.
It struck me deeply — not out of pity, nor from a desire to do charity — but from a clear vision of what lay ahead. If nothing changed, these artisans would eventually turn away from the loom, seeking other ways to make a living. And with them, this craft — passed down through nearly a century — would fade into silence.
That realization became my resolve. I created The Woven Legacy not just as a brand, but as a movement: to honor the weaver as a creator, to give them rightful credit, and to ensure this heritage lives on for generations. Because every weave deserves its story, and every story deserves to be remembered.
